The subject line and from address have been highlighted by an expert as two important factors in email marketing. Louise Rijk, the vice-president of sales and marketing at Advanced Media Productions, has said that the two items can be "the most important factors" for influencing people to open messages. In a column for the Worcester Business Journal, the expert advised that subject lines must be "eye-catching" and feature less than 70 characters.
"See what spammers are using for subject lines and message content, then steer clear of these in your own copy and subject lines," she wrote on the website. Ms Rijk added that emails should also feature the same logos and designs as websites, while the content of messages should be relevant to consumers. In a recent column for DMNews.com, the president and chief executive officer of marketing firm e-Dialog, John Rizzi, said that email marketing was "ideal" for companies to promote themselves to consumers. He added that the format served as an "extension" of a business's products and services but on a customer's terms.

What Our Clients Say
I'm a Sherwin-Williams customer and my sales rep told me about SnazzEmail when I was belly aching about business being slow. I thought it would be too hard to do but I wasn't in a position to let hard work scare me off. It turns out it was the simplest marketing I've ever done and the most profitable. I was sitting on email address that I'd collected over the last couple of years and I wasn't doing anything with them. SnazzEmail lets me tap into them and has helped me close about $48,000 in sales so far." Chip W. Andersen |
