Growing businesses must use email markeitng "in the right way" to avoid their messages being regarded as spam.
Online marketing expert Dr Deepak Dutta has stated that while email is a low-cost solution that all businesses should use, it has to be used properly to be fully effective.
In an article for Best Syndication, he stated that businesses should begin their email marketing by sending messages to addresses in their existing contact list, before asking new customers if they would also be updates on the company.
He added that companies should avoid using a sales pitch within their first few messages.
"Explain them what you are up to and emphasis the benefits your business provides to ordinary folks," he explained.
"It should be informational with the emphasis on benefits. Keep it short because people don't have time to read long emails. Also, encourage them to spread the news to their contacts."
StrongMail's managing director Paul Bates recently urged businesses to ensure they put quality before quantity when using email marketing.

What Our Clients Say
I'm a Sherwin-Williams customer and my sales rep told me about SnazzEmail when I was belly aching about business being slow. I thought it would be too hard to do but I wasn't in a position to let hard work scare me off. It turns out it was the simplest marketing I've ever done and the most profitable. I was sitting on email address that I'd collected over the last couple of years and I wasn't doing anything with them. SnazzEmail lets me tap into them and has helped me close about $48,000 in sales so far." Chip W. Andersen |
